The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce's application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, May 23 for the Leadership Institute's fourth class. The class provides a diverse group of regional professionals with training needed to advance their careers, and gain insight on real situations from industry's accomplished executives. About 24 professionals will be selected representing Class of 2009 beginning September 2008; ending April 2009.

In addition, the chamber announced the Leadership Institute program's third graduating class. Work Zone Safety Specialist Inc. , a supplier of construction and traffic products in Castleton, has added a new printing division, Print Zone, managed by Jessica Sitts. The division can handle business cards, letterhead, envelopes, brochures, checks and forms from layout and design to complete production and binding.

Ed Wilcenski , attorney with Jones, Wilcenski & Pleat PLLC, a Clifton Park law firm, spoke at the 44th Annual International Conference of the Learning Disabilities Association of America in Chicago. He discussed financial and legal planning for individuals with mild cognitive disabilities.

TRANSACTIONS

Conley Associates , an Albany-based commercial real estate firm, was retained by Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group LLC in Colonie for tenant representation. Increased staff led the insurance fraud and pre-employment screening firm to search for more space, preferably in Clifton Park.
